Beauty | Favourites for May 2017

4:48 PM

Hi guys!!!
Since my friends have been encouraging (or actually mocking) me to blog/talk more about beauty, skincare and make-up. Here goes...
Here are my beauty favourites for the month of May 2017.

---

This is Tarte's Tarteist PRO Glow to Go Palette which I got from Sephora for SGD 35.
The colours are as per below:
- Gleam (pearl highlight)
- Burst (shimmering sand highlight)
- Chisel (matte contour)

I usually use gleam on my cheeks and burst to highlight my nose bridge and under my brows.
This palette is super value for money and a great start for beginners.
As compared to my fingers, a brush works better with this palette.
I love how compact and convenient this palette is.

I've swatched the colours below, they are honestly super pigmented.

Next is the Benefit's Dandelion Brightening Finishing Powder (Mini) which I also got from Sephora for SGD 26. As per the description, this sheer face powder can be used as a blush or finishing powder. I prefer to use this as my blush, as it gives extra radiance to my face with a slight pinkish colour. Perfect for minimal make up days when I just need that extra 'glow'.

I love how Benefit Cosmetics retail their products in mini versions.
It really gives me the opportunity to try more products before purchasing their full versions.
Thank you Benefit!

Next is the Missha Geum Sul Vitalizing Stick Eye Cream (SPF 14) which costs around SGD 30.
It was a gift from my mom and we both thought that it was lip balm initially since the packaging was all in Korean. When applying on my eyes and lips, it feels super moisturising.

The eye cream is very mild, not sticky and glides on the skin very evenly as a thin coat.
It definitely does not tug my eyes as much as my fingers do.
Since I'm usually in air-conditioned environments, this is really convenient and ideal for me to constantly keep my eyes moisturised!

Last but not least, this new enemy for my pimples - COSRX Pimple Clear Pad (70 pcs) and Acne Pimple Master Patch (24 pcs) which costs around SGD 26 and SGD 6 respectively.

COSRX Pimple Clear Pad

After cleansing my face, I will use the embossed side of the pimple pad to exfoliate my face, apply my toner and use the smooth side of the pimple pad to hydrate my face. It is said to remove even the stickiest sebums, dead skin and make up wastes. After applying, it makes my skin feel cleaner and more hydrated.

COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch

As for the Acne Pimple Master Patch, I use them for the pimples on my face.
This feels like the blister plaster you apply on your blisters, but in small version.
Usually I use this after popping my pimples as it protects them from dirt and bacteria and also expedites the healing process. When used, it will absorb all the impurities from your targeted areas.
Totally recommend this!
